TS5B is the hardest wax in the TSB line and is an excellent choice in cold conditions, both for cross-country and alpine skiing. It is a favorite among service personnel due to its superior durability and glide performance on dirty snow. This is thanks to new additives that also help to reduce friction on very cold snow.
Despite being a wax for cold conditions, the melting point makes it easier to apply than many alternative waxes in this area, without compromising its glide properties.
The speed of the waxing iron should be approx. 8-10 seconds for a skating or alpine ski. The wax can be reheated after cooling to room temperature (10 min.) for better durability. Scrape after waiting about one minute. It is important to have a good waxing iron in order to melt the wax efficiently.
TS5B can be used as a racing wax alone or as a base wax for other racing products. Recommended waxing iron temp.: 160°C.
